“I used the new Vitreq 27 gauge forceps during a 23 gauge case and was surprised to see how well they grasped tissue. After examining the dimensions of the tips under the microscope, I was certain the instrument would not fit in a 27 gauge cannula. I performed the next case with a 27 gauge system and to my surprise, the Vitreq forceps not only fit through the cannula, they very much performed like my 23 gauge ILM forceps.”
